The Kaitiaki Kids holiday programme is designed as a stepping stone for intermediate-aged adventurers towards our fully residential (overnight) journey programmes.
Kaitiaki Kids will explore the natural world around them through a series of fun outdoor activities. This will extend their nature connection journey to build their confidence and love of the outdoors and nurture their sense of kaitiakitanga to care for the environment.
Whilst being immersed in nature our young adventurers will explore how they can not only restore nature, but also be restored by nature.

The Kaitiaki Kids holiday programme will include a variety of outdoor day-adventures. These may include:
- Develop bush skills
- Build navigation skills
- Cooking in the outdoors
- A range of adventurous outdoor activities
- On-site Whenua Iti Outdoor (WIO) challenges
The 5 day programme of adventure focuses on different nature elements which may include; ngahere (forest), takutai (coast), whenua (land), and awa (river), along the way tamariki will explore how as individuals we can best look after these taonga (treasures). The Kaitiaki Kids programme activities vary depending on the time of year.
Each Kaitiaki Kid will leave with their minds connected to nature, with happy hearts, new friendships and tired edges. Check out our latest adventures on Facebook and Instagram.
